Let the local eating begin!

October 28, 2010

As a part of our adventure to begin eating locally, we are participating in two different CSA’s this winter. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture – essentially you are investing in a farm at the beginning of a season, and in return get weekly deliveries of whatever is coming off the farm that week. The photo above is our first bonus starter delivery. Raspberries, yellow squash, collard greens and Chinese cabbage. We have had delicious experiences with our collard greens and cabbage so far – expect some future posts sharing in the fun!

Our winter produce CSA is through Bountiful Blessings Farm – check them out!

We are looking forward to seeing how this CSA stretches us, throwing us produce we wouldn’t normally buy, and forcing us to learn how to work with it. I cant wait!
